AIMS OF THE TRUST

The Constitution sets out the aims of the Trust and includes the following:
“The trust is established for the public benefit for the following purposes:

  1. To protect and preserve and stimulate public interest in the area comprising of the town of Cockermouth and its surrounding area.
  2. To promote high standards of town planning and architecture.
  3. To secure the preservation, conservation, development and improvement of features of general public amenity or historic or public interest.”
