Issues and Options Consultation - September 2025
The Issues and Options is the first round of public consultation on the new Local Plan and is designed to gather information about what the issues and opportunities are across Cumberland. This will help to outline the scope for the Local Plan and inform future policies, proposals and allocations, and we would like to hear you views.
This is the strategy for future development over the next 15 year period. It takes around 3 years to complete and includes a number of different stages of consultation.
The next stage is consultation on Preferred Options in spring/summer 2026.
